Prepare your environment where it is calm and a suitable non-slip surface.

Lift up the instructed leg to 3LS. Once your dog is balanced and comfortable, gently apply pressure to (HINDLIMB) your dog’s pelvis to shift their weight to the outside of the limbs (FORELIMB) either side of the shoulders and gently rock your dog side to side – your therapist will instruct you which side you require to shift. When ready, gently weight shift your dog by applying pressure to their hip and gently releasing so you are shifting their centre of gravity, by doing this exercise, you are improving core control, balance, limb awareness and isometric muscle contractions helping improve tone of desired muscles. You don’t want your dog to move their limbs during this exercise.
