Jumping up and down on and off furniture can be detrimental to your dog’s progress so please avoid. Either block off the furniture or keep your dog out of the room when unsupervised so they don’t sneak up on to it. Alternative solutions could be a ramp up onto the sofa or steps, if they can manage these, so they are not jumping. If your dog is small, then lifting them up and down is also ok. Furniture includes, sofas, beds, chairs, anything your dog can jump up on to. Your therapist will advise you when your dog can start using furniture again.
