Ensure you have the forelimbs raised at an appropriate height, advised by your therapist.
Ensure your dog is standing on a non-slip surface.
This exercise increases weight and thereby weight bearing through a targeted limb alongside improving balance and co-ordination.
You can also add gentle weight-shifting to increase the weight through the hindlimbs. This is done by gently pushing on the dogs chest and then releasing, to create a rocking motion of increased weight through the hindlimbs. Do this gently so the dog does not lose their balance or shift around.
