Have your dog stand with front paws on slightly raised object with traction. Stand to one side of your dog facing their torso, around their shoulder. Using a treat (preferably one that keeps them busy i.e. primula or peanut butter), turn their head toward you & curve round your body. Next use your knee to gently push their body away from you, until they step sideways.
The aim is to keep their forelimbs fairly consistent in their placement, and your dog to use their hindlimbs to circle around the object.
This exercise is great for building strength in hindlimb abductors/adductors, as well as promoting flexibility of internal hip soft tissues.
