Place dog in side lying position with affected side up. One hand will stabilize the hip while the other hand flexes the whole limb (this is best done by first curling the toes, the rest of the limb should follow suit). Once flexed, slightly rotate the limb laterally & apply a gentle compression toward the hip joint. Perform for therapist recommended duration to simulate weight bearing.
This exercise is fantastic for realigning soft tissue surrounding the hip joint & also the joint capsule.
