- Set up the exercise on a non-slip area with two platforms of equal height used to direct placement of front limbs and hind limbs – the aim is for the front legs and the tarsal bones to be parallel to the ground and the spine neutral and straight.

- Lure dog onto the platforms with limbs adjacent to each other, vertical to the ground in a “square” standing position.
- Hold and reward via treat lure for as long as possible, or as specified by your therapist.
The aim of this exercise is to improve spinal extensor muscle strength, which in turn will create a better posture for you dog, lengthen and create a good spinal posture, improve abdominal strength and improve balance and proprioception.
