Your therapist has rented you an electrotherapy device called PMFT (pulsed magnetic field therapy). This electrotherapy device is used with success in physiotherapy in dogs and horses, aiming to restore the cells to their natural magnetic energy while improving blood flow, reducing healing times, reducing pain and regenerating new neural pathways.
- Have your animal relaxed, in either a laying position or a secured position.
- Apply the pad the area – your animal is most likely used to this pad being used in clinic, however if they’re unsure, familiarise them to the pad before applying.
- Press the large button the PMFT machine and hold, until lights begin to flashing – once the lights are flashing, the machine is on.
- Wait until the lights finish flashing – the machine is set to a treatment time and on the settings suitable for your animal, there is nothing required to press after this.
