Using a variety of surfaces suggested by your therapist, walk your dog slowly over as directed during your physiotherapy session. Slower, the better to allow maximum stimulation through your dog’s paws. These surfaces encourage tactile stimulation, balance, improve stability and improve neurological feedback.
Surfaces such as leaves, pebbles, long grass, branches are a great way of providing variety. Our local woodland includes Mockett’s Wood in Broadstairs, Reculver Country Park and Monkton Nature Reserve
