Begin by having your dog standing on a non-slip surface.

As guided by your therapist, either gently lift the limb or guide the carpus (wrist) into the desired position. We are looking to locate the limb in a neutral, weight bearing position that is perpendicular to the ground. Once the desired position is achieved, gently press the top of their paw in contact with the ground surface and hold this for 2-3 seconds.
