This is an effective way of incorporating weight shifting and/or balance work into your dog’s routine. Your dog should have their front legs raised higher than their back legs using non-slip surfaces. Remember that your dog will need to have the food item raised higher than the front legs to enable increased weight shift onto the hind limbs. Your therapist will have instructed the correct heights to be used.
Depending on instruction from your therapist, either feed a meal or use a LickiMat.
