Perform this exercise on a non-slip surface with traction e.g. carpet, grass or yoga mat. Sit on the floor with your legs spread apart. Lure your dog to walk very slow & controlled over your leg, with the aim of each leg to have an increased amount of time bearing weight, whilst then flexing & extending the joints to cross over.

This must be done correctly & you should only reward your dog with the treat if they do so in the appropriate fashion (i.e. not rushing or jumping etc).

Only perform at the desired location – e.g. if your therapist has said to do just above your ankle, then only perform here & not by your knee, as this will change the difficulty & could cause harm.
