This stretch encourages an eccentric stretch of the lateral spinal flexors of the caudal cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. If performed correctly it can also create concentric load of the abdominals.

Have your dog stand square on a non-slip surface with hinds as square as possible. Your dog may require support under the pelvis via your arm placement until they are strong and able enough to perform without. Encourage your dog to lure their head around slowly, with nose to shoulder, along core toward hip and if they can reach, around to/passed their tail base.

You can also perform this with head further away from the body, and also advance the stretch down passed their hind foot. Also reverse back the way you came, and always adhere to any specific instructions provided to you by your physiotherapist.
