Have your dog preferably laying on their side (though standing or sitting can be utilised if unable or inappropriate, be sure to support the opposite forelimb with your hand). Next lift the forelimb & place your hand behind the elbow. Gently bend the elbow, then *very gently* stretch the leg up & forward. When you reach your dog’s comfortable “end range”, pulse within comfort, aiming to hold for 10 seconds. If your dog resists, immediately remove tension to avoid damaging soft tissues – this is very important.

Cup elbow and wrist, draw wrist towards body and pulse elbow forward.
