Your therapist has given you one of our ultrasound machines.

To set up your machine, (if it is wired) plug into the wall and press on. Then choose your desired settings (what level and what time), if you are unsure what level/time you have been prescribed by your therapist, email us as we can help.

Once the ultrasound is set up on the correct settings. Apply the ultrasound gel to the area directed, the more ultrasound gel, the better the conduction for the ultrasound to the area of application. Ultrasound is best treated when your dog is relaxed, they are likely to be inquisitive and naturally curious so be patient. Your dog will be desensitized to ultrasound in the clinic, however if your dog becomes anxious, or reactive to the ultrasound, do not continue and contact us.

Once the gel is applied, you can turn on your ultrasound and begin treatment. Your therapist will have directed you the method of application depending on your dog’s condition.

Your ultrasound will have a timer to count down, so you can keep applying til the time is up. It is important that the ultrasound remains in contact with your dog as much as possible, as can break if there is no contact. If you are worried, hold the ultrasound to your arm if you lose contact off your dog.
